Get involved in the struggle for migrant rights! The No One Is Illegal
Student Network at York University is hosting a New Members Meeting. Find
out more about who we are, what we do, and how you can get involved on
campus!

Date: Wednesday, October 15, 2008
Time: 2:15pm - 4:00pm
Location: York University, Student Centre, Room 430 - GSA Lounge

No One is Illegal (Toronto) is a group of immigrants, refugees and allies
who fight for the rights of all migrants to live with dignity and respect.
We believe that granting citizenship to a privileged few is part of a
racist immigration and border policy designed to exploit and marginalize
migrants. We work to oppose these policies, as well as the international
economic policies that create the conditions of poverty and war that force
migration.

At the same time, we work to support and build alliances with indigenous
communities in their fight against colonialism, displacement and the
ongoing theft of their land.

No One Is Illegal Student Network
New Members Meeting
Monday October 27, 6pm
North Borden Building (563 Spadina Ave, north of College)

The No One Is Illegal Student Network, an action group of OPIRG-Toronto, would like to invite all interested students to a new members meeting on Monday, October 27 at 6pm at the North Borden Building (563 Spadina Ave, north of College).

Following the recent deportation of UofT student Saad Alam, it is increasingly apparent that we need to continue organizing to defend the rights of all students to access education and to increase pressure on university presidents such as David Naylor to recognize this right.
